ACHE affiliate had the opportunity to join and participate in a local ACHE chapter.
ACHE asked PPHCEF to spearhead the effort to create a state chapter of ACHE. PPHCEF agreed to ACHE's request and submitted its intent in July of 2003. PPHCEF, in conjunction with the ACHE Colorado Regent's Advisory Council and the Colorado Women's Forum in Health Administration, worked arduously to meet the criteria for official chapter status. During its first year of existence, the 2004 CAHE Board of Directors laid the foundation for the future success of CAHE. CAHE saw a dramatic increase in membership, and several programs throughout the year offered members valuable educational and networking opportunities.
CAHE's membership includes healthcare executives from Colorado hospitals, health systems, health plans, home health agencies, long-term care facilities, group practice managers, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, military and veteran's administration officials, clinical support activities, consultants, students and faculty of three colleges/universities, job placement services, and other types of healthcare facilities and services.
Effective January 1, 2008, all ACHE affiliates located with the chapter's assigned geographic territory are automatically members of the chapter as a benefit of being an ACHE affiliate.
