The Colorado Association of Healthcare Executives (CAHE) held its February 2007 education and networking event at the United States Air Force Academy's 10th Medical Group Hospital.  Colonel Dennis D. Doyle, Medical Service Corps, United States Army, and Lieutenant Colonel Steve Drennan, Nurse Corps, United States Army, from the 10th Combat Support Hospital (CSH) presented "Lessons Learned from Operation Iraqi Freedom."  COL Doyle (Commander of the 10th CSH) and LTC Drennan (Deputy Commander for Nursing 10th CSH) discussed combat healthcare operations at the busiest trauma center in Iraq and one of the busiest in the world.  The work of the 10th CSH was featured in the CNN Presents special "Combat Hospital."  The 10th CSH relieved the 86th CSH from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  The 86th CSH was highlighted in the HBO special "Baghdad ER."  For ACHE-affiliated attendees, this event was pre-approved by ACHE for 1.5 Category II (non-ACHE) credit hours.  A special thank you to COL Nancy Waite, Deputy Group Commander and LTC Philip "Spike" Jones, Hospital Administrator 10th Medical Group for hosting the event, and to Chris Grippo and Marshall Meringola for setting up and ensuring that the event went smoothly.
