Credentialing Changes On November 6, 2006 the ACHE Board of Governors voted to revise the credentialing system, creating a multi-faceted system leading to a single credential, the FACHE. This was a culmination of a two-year study by the Credentialing Task Force involving extensive research, evaluation and affiliate feedback. Refer to the checklist highlighting the new FACHE requirements, as well as an FAQ and a special article in the January/February Healthcare Executive magazine.
The new FACHE requirements went into effect on January 1, 2007. If you were a Diplomate and have not yet updated your educational and experience data in the My ACHE area of ache.org, then you need to do so in order for ACHE to determine if you already qualify as a Fellow. Fellow requirements, as well as information and a downloadable application for Members planning to take the Board of Governors Examination and advance to Fellow status, are also available in the Credentialing area of ache.org. In addition, the latest Regulations Governing Admission, Advancement and Recertification (PDF) can be found in the About ACHE area of ache.org. For more information contact the Division of Membership at e-mail: membership1@ache.org, or (312) 424-9400.

CAHE Needs Fellows to Conduct Structured Interviews and References The new credentialing changes include the requirement for three references from Fellows, one of which must be a structured interview. One of our goals is to connect members seeking to advance to Fellow with current Fellows interested in serving as references. We are collecting names and contact information of Fellows and have now placed this list behind the "Member Login" section of our website. If you are an active FACHE and would like to serve as a reference, please contact Chris Martin at Martin.Christopher@tchden.org.
