John Hill is the President and Chief Executive Officer at The Medical Center of Aurora, one of 11 hospitals in the Continental Division of HealthOne/HCA. The Medical Center of Aurora is and acute care hospital with Level II trauma designation and specializaiton in cardiovascular services, neurosurgery, orthopedics and geriatric psychiatry. Licensed for 346 beds, the facility encompasses South and North campus locations along with Centennial Medical Plaza in the southeast metro area. In 2007, The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza (TMCA) was named the 2007 Best Place to WOrk by ColoradoBiz magazine and won the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility. TMCA is also a Mentor Hospial for the 100,000 Lives Campaign; and an HCA "Cardiovascular Center of Excellence".
Hill's previous position was Chief Operating Officer at Medical City in Dallas, Texas. Medical City is a 704-bed tertiary acute care facility located in North Dallas. During Hill's tenure, Medical City was awarded the Texas Award for Performance Excellence and the American Nurses Association's Magnet recognition; the most prestigious designation of excellence in nursing services. Medical City also won the Dallas-Fort Worth "Best Places to Work" and was awarded by Governor Rick Perry as one of the "Top 50 Best Places to Work" in the state of Texas.
Hill was formerly the Executive Administrator for a private physiciain surgical group, developing the largest ophthalmologic surgical group in rural Arizona.
A native of Arizona, Hill earned his bachelor's degree at Northern Arizona University; a Healthcare Administration Executive Certificate at the Wharton School of Business; and his Master's in Business Administration at Northern Arizona.
Hill is board certified in Healthcare Administration and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2006, he was awarded the American College of Healthcare Executives North Texas Regent's Award for Early Careerist of the Year.
He has been activiely involved in youth programs, coaching sports teams and serving in various leadership positions within the Circle Ten Council for the Boy Scouts of America in Texas.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have three sons and three daughters. Hill, an avid outdoorsman, enjoys spending time in the Colorado mountains with his family. |
