The Colorado Association of Healthcare Executives (CAHE) held its August education and networking event on Thursday, August 9, 2007, The Lexus Club at the Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Circle, Denver, CO. Our guest speaker was Dr. James Hill, Director, Center for Human Nutrition & Professor of Pediatrics & Medicine, University of Colorado who presented "Addressing America's Epidemic of Obesity." The focus of the evening’s presentation was the epidemic of obesity and in particular how all sectors together can address the issue. The talk described why the problem is so complex, addressed potential solutions and discussed why it will take societal involvement to make a change. Dr. Hill highlighted what is happening in Denver and throughout Colorado and what it would take to solve the problem here.  For ACHE-affiliated attendees, this event has been pre-approved for 1.5 ACHE Category II continuing education hours.
